participant thru their email.

Our half-day event is jam-packed with a presentation, hands-on workshop, nursery tour, plenty of ideas, plants and other goodies to take home. The first presentation will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 725 West Dalton Rd, King, NC 27021 beginning at 8:45 a.m.

Jill Hollingsworth, a Botanical Stylist from Greensboro, presents “Gardens under Glass”, an introduction to the types of containers, plants, and techniques used to build a terrarium.  A finished terrarium will be a door prize.

Then we will tour Mitchell’s Nursery and Greenhouse, 1088 West Dalton Road, King, NC 27021 (very short drive). Following, Ann & Bill Smith of Oldtown Farm guides us in a hands-on workshop on the “Passion of Growing Heirloom Tomatoes”. We will learn about the characteristics and care of popular heirloom tomato varieties.  Each participant will plant a few seeds to take home.

Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments provided. Early registration is $15 through March 16th.  After this date, the fee is $20.
